  Those of you stuck in with kids&question about spouse

  it is killing me now that i am awake, having kids in school and having to be jws.

  birthdays, christmas, thanksgiving, having to go home or be left out because their teachers know they are witnesses and/or have kids from the school in their class or grade.

  it's a small town so the other jws in the hall know what's going on since their kids are in the same school.

  It is killing me now that I am awake, having kids in school and having to be JWs. Birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, having to go home or be left out because their teachers know they are witnesses and/or have kids from the school in their class or grade. It's a small town so the other JWs in the hall know what's going on since their kids are in the same school. We are talking elementary age. I just want to get OUT and tell my kids it's okay do it all! Any of you in this situation, what do you do, grin and bare it? I feel so bad for my kids, because I know it's pointless.

  Im slowly Working on my husband. He says he won't do anything the FDS says that doesn't have scriptural merit (like go run for the hills or sell your belongings) and that we don't fit in Jw land because we do whats best for us. Miss meetings for work, sick kids, push higher ED, and allow our young kids in sports. He doesn't agree with how they make rules about trivial things, but says they have had to because men love laws and rules, not principle choices. We don't think birthdays are bad, or saying happy holiday, thanksgiving birthday etc, and he thinks witnesses are selfish and have social issues. He said he recently feels his frame of mind has become apathetic due to the truth and he hates it. He agrees they teach out of guilt and fear. He says there has to be some organization structure to accomplish the preaching work. Thus the society is needed. I have talked about molestaton-disfellowshipping issues but he is the type who needs something to personally effect him or our family So he can see the BS with his own eyes.

  I told him we don't agree with all they say so why do we go there? Then he says I've gone overboard and hate the society. He is open minded but thinks I am just going through 'growing ' pains or something.

  Does a Non J-Dub blame themself??

  that's the question that always enters my mind.is it possible that our son got pulled into the cult club because of something we did or did not do?

  we raised them good just like all their freinds and relatives were raised.

  there are none of his old freinds or relatives that jumped ship and went to the cult club.. are there any others out there that were "never" j-dubs that could relate?.

  A short list of inconsistencies

  does anyone have a short list of inconsistencies or can write some out for me, from both the bible and wt doctrine.

  things such as: jobs test and noah's ark not being enough for gods sovereignty, why not just let adam and eve die without having children, tower of babel after the flood, jws can die at armageddon yet even satan gets more time.

  the ultimate stopper for me is when people say its about jehovahs kingdom and sovereignty and we preach to save the wicked.

  I need help

  im new here, and dont know much about jw, other than what im reading.

  i have my best friend who is having bible study in her home with 2 witnesses, and she is soaking it in.

  she is very defensive and is getting more and more closed off.

  I would suggest you act interested and study with her....then on your own with her study and introduce jwfacts information. If you can't beat them ( which you can't without pushing her away) join them.

  A real chat with my brother

  my brother called to chat, which is shocking from the man of few words, off the cuff i let him know last weekend i learned that the outrageous socks he wears are inappropriate.

  i let him know i would no longer be associating with him and the fact that he has been inactive for the past 10 years he has blood on his hands and i didnt want that dripping all over my freshly cleaned floors.

  i also told him the internet was no longer naughty, but the fact that he wasn't an ms ever, showed his lack of spiritual maturity.

  My brother called to chat, which is shocking from the man of few words, off the cuff I let him know last weekend I learned that the outrageous socks he wears are inappropriate. I let him know I would no longer be associating with him and the fact that he has been inactive for the past 10 years he has blood on his hands and I didnt want that dripping all over my freshly cleaned Floors. I also told him the internet was no longer naughty, but the fact that he wasn't an MS ever, showed his lack of spiritual maturity. His long beard is clearly a sign of rebellion and there is no way Jehovah will let him through Armaggedon. He reminded me Jesus died for all mankind... I had to update him since his pathetic lack of attendance that Jesus did not die for him, he died for the annointed ( which will probably be changed to the FDS only) and only by following our earthly leaders may we maybe, only with so much service hours and donations, be saved.

  We had a good laugh, he was shocked and continued a 2 hour conversation. he did warn about going and reading apostate literature .... Then I told him all I learned. Especially all the money sweeps, assembly hall costs, and lawsuits. He told me he longer identifies himself as a JW. He told me another sibling who I'm not in much contact told him he hasn't gone in 5 years, and attends another church, not identifying as a JW either. Neither knew TTATT, they just have feelings that something is wrong And don't give. a crap. Our other 2 siblings are trying... They are young males 20's and single....so we shall see. They live at home so they have parental pressure. There you have it 5 kids, 3/5 are done with 'The truth'

  My Parents have gone FULL CULT MODE! Having a job is SATANIC!

  around a year ago, my elder dad got laid off from his job.

  he worked as a auto mechanic making ok money.

  seriously, i am so thankful that the org has officially allowed the use of ipads and tablets at the kingdom hall!.

  it is the only thing that keeps me sane while sitting there....being able to log on to this site while pretending to follow along with the program!.

  i think i would have literally lost my mind without this lifeline!.

  My fairly strait laced Jdub girlfriend told me on Sunday at a get together, sisters were gathered together making fun of the zone visit. About 20 sisters ages 21-40. She said on Instagram, #jwhumor, are hilarious things poking fun. Then someone wrote that making fun of the GB is insulting the GB and Jehovah, gives apostates ammunition, and they're was a reason we weren't to record etc.

  She thinks, with others in this age group, it's bogus but of course 'the truth'
